The Ontario Physical Education Safety Guidelines, managed by Ophea, have become the standard of care in the province of Ontario for Health and Physical Education in Grades 1 to 12. The guidelines, which represent the minimum standards for risk management practice for school boards, focus the attention of teachers, intramural supervisors and coaches on safe practices, in every activity, in order to minimize the element of risk.
Available here, the guidelines are divided into Elementary and Secondary levels, each containing three separate modules.
